A portion of this class will be held OUTDOORS in the compost demo site at CCE-Tompkins. Please dress appropriately.
Thurs, 11/9, 5:30-7:00pm - Using an indoor composting system allows those without outdoor space to compost and make a rich soil amendment for houseplants or container gardens. People with outdoor space can also benefit from composting indoors. Worm composting produces a particularly rich product. Indoor methods keep compost active over the winter, and can be easier than maintaining an outdoor bin. Class topics include worm composting, bokashi composting, and other indoor methods. Every household will go home with a working worm bin, and all the info you need to get started.
Come to one class or come to both of them. We guarantee that you will acquire composting knowledge and skills that you can put to use this fall/winter.
Fee: $10/class or $15 for the 2-class series
